Description:
This is a 6-legged full walker bot mod for the Sparkfun XRP, models included are the STLs for the modded body and legs.
Components:
Necessary parts include an Arduino Uno r3 or other similar board, a servo controller board capable of controlling 18 servos simultaneously, the aforementioned 18 9g servos, several fm and mm jumper wires, and an additional power source, such as a lipo battery or benchtop supply, to supplement the insufficient power supplied to the servo controller, by the connected microcontroller board.
Optional components:
If you feel it necessary, the connection of a Bluetooth or otherwise wireless receiver/control board to the hexapod is advised to detach the robot from the commanding computer.
Print tips:
Print legs at 20% infill for best strength-to-weight ratio, layer height at discretion.
Print body at 30% infill, layer height at discretion depending on intended additional features.
For both legs and body, use glue or similar polymer for adhesion, given their large area, to avoid peeling.
