MOZA Racing DIY wooden table mount for R5 Base
Why buy an expensive sim racing rig when you can build your own custom from wood that fits your purpose better.
This mounting bracket is for mounting your R5 base to a wooden desk. Cut a slot 117x185 mm and screw together. Keeps the original desk mount tilt angle (13 degree).
Print instructions
Print mount with “up side” up, support on build plate only (will take most of your build plate and will generate lots of waste)
This large print can cause some warping. But fear not, the corners are support material and it is no problems if even the brackets bottom corners are slightly warped (mine is).
Extra material needed
- 4x M6x12 flat head screws (original screws don't work well)
- 14x 4.5x20 mm wood screw countersink (or slightly smaller)
Assembly instructions
- Cut a slot in your table according to dimensions below.
- Attach the mount to table with the 14 screws.
- Attach the R5 base to mount with the 4 screws.
Note (the other model)
If you would prefer a version that not destroys your table but rather mounts to a wooden board that you can clamp to your table. I have another version with open back (you could use this one also, but it is a bigger print).
