This case replaces the original bulky case on the Solidremote L-Visor-2 garage door remote.
No additional hardware is required to install the case on the original circuit board.
Note: In the included photos, one of the buttons has a depressed square around it on the front face of the case. That is not included on this model. It was intended to add a tactile indicator around that button but it did not work well.
Instructions
- Print both the front and the back of the case.
- Can be printed independently or at the same time using the “FULL” file.
- The back side of the case includes a build in support structure. Do not enable supports in your slicer.
- Remove the built in support piece from the “BACK” side of the case.
- Remove the circuit board from the original case.
- The two halves can be difficult to pry apart. Use a tool that will not cut you if it slips. Be mindful of the direction the tool you choose will travel if it does slip. Point it away from yourself. (I may have cut myself a bit prying the original case apart.)
- Install the circuit board button side down into the “FRONT” side of the case.
- Make sure the notch in the outline of the board lines up with the corresponding protrusion in the case.

- The circuit board should lie flat in the front half of the case. The housing of the buttons should be flush with the front side of the part. The circular black button should extend beyond the front of the case.

- Make sure the notch in the outline of the board lines up with the corresponding protrusion in the case.
- Place the “BACK” piece of the case onto the open side of the “FRONT” piece ensuring the circular cavity lines up with the battery on the circuit board.

- Compress the two pieces towards each other until they snap together.

- Optional
- Remove the metal hanger from the original case.
- Install it into the back of the new case.
