I was looking for a way of organizing my accessories for the Planet Mercenary RPG system. While there are a lot of deck boxes out there which I could use for the cards, I wanted to keep my Mayhem! dice and RiPP tokens together with them so I could have a grab-and-go kit for running the game. It holds the entire Mayhem! deck sleeved plus some spare blank cards for writing your own. Depending on your printer and its tolerance, there are spaces for optional 6x2 cylindrical magnets to help keep it closed.
This box was inspired by the Ultra-Pro Satin Tower box which was close to what I wanted, but the RiPP tokens floating loose in the bottom were too noisy and messy for what I was looking for.
There are three main pieces to the box and one optional:
- The base to hold dice and the RiPP tokens (bottom_case)
- The main section to hold the Mayhem! deck (card_case)
- The top to close everything in (lid)
- An optional insert sized to hold the 6 dice which came with one of the original Kickstarter tiers.
I have also included the original Fusion360 files in case you want to remix or tweak the tolerances. I have also included a STEP file exported from Fusion360 for use with other modeling software.
Example Print:
- Material: Generic Translucent PLA
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Infill: 15% Gyroid
- Print Temp: Hotend - 210C, Bed - 60C
- Fan: 100% after layer 1
- Supports:
- The main case (card_case) does require support material, but you can use a very low density since it's just printing a flat separator inside the case.
- All other files can be printed without supports
