The Amaran T4c is an amazing professional light with a lot of mounting options. But if you don't have a lot of rigging or need to mount it inconspicuously it is a bit of a challenge.
If you need to mount your T4c to a wall or ceiling in a way that is easily reversible, these mounts make it easy using 3M Command strips. Use the velcro-like picture hanging strips, it makes it easy to be able to remove and reinstall the light easily. Also both sides can have their adhesive cure/strengthen without weight on either surface. This is important to ensure the Command strips have a strong hold. I tested and 1 fully cured set of strips was able to handle the weight of the light. 3 makes it very sturdy
There are 4 parts that make up one mount and you'l want at least 3 per light to be safe:
The Top Base with insets for the command strip and ring mount. My suggestion would be to print this with the ring inset down with supports enabled so you can have a clean surface on top for good adhesion of the command strip.
The two parts of the hinged ring that holds the light. Print these on their sides with enough perimeters so the loops are solid. You'll need to enable supports on these for the holes and hinge parts.
A soft insert that goes between the ring and the light to protect the light and help grip it in place. Print this part in TPU or other flexible filament. Keep the walls thin and use a low density squishy infill like 2% - 5% Gyroid.
You'll also need:
2 - M5 x 12mm Socket Head Screws
2 - M5 Nuts
1 - M3 x 20mm Socket Head Screw
1 - M3 Nut
2 - M3 Washers so the motion of the hinge does not loosen the nut.
Assembly is straight forward. There are insets for the M5 nuts and screw heads. Use the M3 hardware as the hinge pin.
IMPORTANT: Install you command strips on both surfaces and leave them to cure for at least an hour before trying to hang the weight of the light from them. Follow the instructions on the box and you should be good. Don't, and your expensive light could come crashing down!
