- IKEA desk top (Linnmon, Karlby, etc.) w/ Alex drawers
- M3 self-tapping screws
- A stronger filament (ABS recommended, but not required)
Print Recommendations
- ABS filament
- 4 walls
- 40% infill (keep in mind these are weight bearing)
- 3D honeycomb infill from Orca Slicer
Guide
- This project requires some decently precise measuring to make sure your desk top sits properly on top of the drawers.
- You'll want to get the dimensions from the top of your drawers and draw this on the bottom of your desk top.
- I recommend spacing the nubs roughly 2cm from the edge of the drawers so it remains hidden.
- Check your measurements before drilling and screwing in the nubs on both sides to make sure they are very close to each other
- If you use table legs on one side of the desk, you may need to print some risers for those to level the desk
- I used 4 nubs per drawer, you can use more or less, just be careful :)
