I went to the star trek tos set museum in ticonderoga NY and tried to scan the chess board. The scanner didnt work so well with the chrome finish of the base, but between reference pictures from the show and dimensional information from the ticonderoga new york set replica, I was able to reconstruct an accurate 3d model of the outside of the base. This will need a little reengineering in cad or something, but I wanted to share it here to help get the ball rolling. I will upload other revisions to this as they come. Pictures are screenshots from blender. Its just slightly over 9" in diameter. There may be a way to cut it into 4 equal quadrants to get it to fit on a prusa mini or cut it in half to get it to fit on a mk3 or mk4
