These bottom plates are required when the Modular Control Panel by PrinterBox is used in combination with following mods:
- PrusaBox w1219 Temperature Control Housing by Colin
- PrusaBox Enclosure - Adapter Plate to Center Modular Control Panel with Box Temp Addition by wilsondg
- Expandable Steel Sheet Holder by DD3D
Adapter plate moves the control panel 28.31 mm left and 5mm to forward, making impossible to use the bottom plates provided by DD3D with his brilliant Expandable Steel Sheet design.
I remixed the two plates (one for the left side, one for the right side with Raspberry Pi mount) to fix it.
A couple of additional improvements:
- use of captive square nuts fully enclosed from above, to minimize risk of a screw coming into contact with electronics inside of the panel
- the mounting holes on the plate corners are countersunk and are intended to be used with M3 flat head screws (otherwise one screw head will interfere with the Expandable Sheet Holder)
Don't forget to insert two DIN562 M3 square nuts into the slots and position them so that the hole is roughly in the middle of a slot when looking from the bottom (slots are elongated to allow adjustment of the holder side position).
Use two M3 screws of appropriate length, which depends on a number of sheets (for the holder for 3 sheets 35mm screws worked perfectly..
