Simple gauge to measure Gridfinity bin height up to 12U
Can be used to measure:
- Height of an existing bin
- A drawer to determine maximum bin height
- An object to determine how tall of a storage bin it requires
Usage notes:
- Measuring bins. Use the left side. The black bar is 3.75mm wide, corresponding to the additional height of a stacking lip.
- Use the lower edge of the bar for bins without a stacking lip and the upper edge of the bar for bins with a stacking lip.
- Measuring drawers. Designed for baseplates without magnets or screws where the bottom of the bin will sit flush on the surface. If using thicker baseplates then adjust accordingly.
- Measuring objects. Use the right side. The thin line indicates the usable vertical height for a given bin size, so choose the next size up.
Design and printing notes
- Designed for 0.4mm nozzle and 0.15mm layer height
- Sample printed in PLA on MK4 using quality setting
- Object height measurement based on a 6mm thick base (1mm usable height for a 1U container). Your base may be thinner, so this is
