Deck rail mounting system for a Shepperd's crook type mounting pole. Allows for mounting of a birdfeeder, or hummingbird feeder hanging over the outside of your deck without putting screw holes or other permanent modifications to your deck. the height can be adjusted for positioning of the feeder at a good viewing height and provides a secure installation. The Sheppard's hook I had on hand, had a tab at the bottom that I used as a stop.
The mount is set up for the default baluster spacing on my composite deck. I haven't check it with a wood deck, but if the baluster spacing is the same, it should work. The 2 halves are assembled using 4mm screws. I also provided pads, to be printed out of TPU, to provide anti-slip and to prevent scratching of the balusters' .
I used 2 sets to hang my hummingbird feeder, but discovered that 1 would work just fine.
