This is a remix of ctyler2621's SFIC holder. There are a few reasons for the remix which I feel improves on the original (awesome) design:
- The recess that the SFIC locking lug goes into wasn't deep enough for some of my SFIC locks. So I made it a bit deeper to hopefully accommodate more locks.
- While you could stick the original SFIC holder in a vise, it being rounded meant it wasn't held very securely. So I gave it flat sides for better vise compatibility.
- It was a little confusing trying to remember what side I should orient the SFIC locking lug to (left, right?). So I added a little circular orientation marker to the face of the holder which indicates that that is the side the lug should go on.
Step file also included in case anyone else wants to make further refinements.
Printing instructions:
- 15-40% infill
- Any layer height
- Should not need to rescale this model for fitment, unless your printer isn't well calibrated
Update V1.1
- A small portion of the model where the tailpiece of the lock rests was removed in order to accommodate the security feature found on BEST Cormax locks. Prior to this change, the Cormax would not seat all the way into this holder.
