I wanted to have a storage place for a small dish brush where it can dry off.

The brush I'm using has roughly a 73mm diameter at the bristles. I first used the dish and tray sized to 73mm (diameter of the tray), however some stubborn bristles always caught on the lip when placing the brush into the dish so I added 5mm and ended up using the 78mm version.

I first planned on using some rubber feet on the dish, that's what the markers on the bottom are for, but ended up using it without them.

Just leave a comment if you need a different size and I'll try to upload a new version.

Pictures are from the 78mm version.

Printing

  • Printing STL or STEP file?
    • Usually I like to print step files directly however PrusaSlicer doesn't make a good job tessellating the model.
    • The stl files I uploaded are high resolution exports from FreeCad
  • Material: I used PETG (Extrudr PETG Turqoise)
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Infill: 15%
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Perimeters: 3, together with the nozzle size and layer height this will result in exactly 5 lines for the dish wall
  • Supports: no, print the tray upside down

Changelog

  • 2024-09-26: Uploaded first version in 73mm and 78mm.
