My tiny hands struggle to reach the furthest 3 buttons from my natural resting position on the ploopy.

To solve this I created 3 raised buttons that are 3d-printable to be glued on top of the original ploopy case to raise the buttons into reach.

The second image is printed with fuzzy skin.

Variations

There are a few variations

  • “Left” means you would have the Adept on your left hand, in other words the tallest button is on the right, “Right” means you would have the Adept on the right hand
  • 3 buttons: The furthest 3 buttons are raised, personally I use this as I don't need the “ring-finger” button raised
  • 4 buttons: All top 4 buttons are raised, but the pointer-finger button will be the tallest, the ring-finger button will be the lowest, remember to pick the correct orientation.
  • With or without lip, see the “Printing” section below.

Printing

!!! Important !!!

For the “WITH LIP” versions there is a slight "lip" around the button to make it slot into the existing buttons, I recommend cutting the print in two, and gluing it after the print is done with superglue. This way they can be printed flat.

I cut at 2mm, placing both pieces on the flat cut side:

Looks like this:

Once printed, glue together each of the cut pieces.

Dry fit on the Adept to make sure it looks good. I recommend testing if it works for you by either just resting them on the buttons for a few days, or doing a thin piece of double sided tape. If you're happy with it like me, superglue them in place!
