The linear rail adapter that comes with the Hermit Crab 2 has the slots for the timing belt spaced too close together. This makes it necessary to replace the stock belt, which is way too tight. I was too impatient to wait for a new belt to arrive, so I created my own adapter.
I suggest printing this in ABS or ASA. Printing the model with five walls and 15% infill works well.
4 M3x5x4 threaded inserts are needed to secure the HC2 to the adapter. These are the ones I used to great effect. https://a.co/d/2gYOhTx
