I must admit…  I'm having too much fun with the 200% Lego wreath [Original Here] and the different holidays/seasons.  For fall, I decided to print a fresh wreath in brown, more fitting of the season.  Well that quickly devolved into a need for a Halloween wreath.  Sure, black and orange studs would work, there are some other items out there like spiders and webs, but they just didn't have that pop.  I'm a big Mario fan and I had printed a Boo for my son at one point with glow in the dark filament.  Why not adapt that same to my wreath? Enter the Boo.

Printing

  • I will caution first and foremost, this is a time intensive print.  ~20 hours
  • Boo will need supports on as he needs to be printed socket side down
  • I used 10% Tri-hexagon infill with all parts
    • With less infill I usually run 4 walls, but dealer's choice on that
  • For the body, teeth, and inside eyes I used glow in the dark filament

Assembly

  • This is meant to be held together with 2 pins.  We obviously do not have a back half, so glue will be required.  I elected to use clear epoxy - I find super glue tends to misbehave and stink forever.  I simply epoxied the teeth in place, aligned them with the mouth.  I then added some epoxy around the back to ensure everything stays together.  I had one eye insert that was bent on falling out so that got a dab as well.  The rest is just friction fit.
