Nerf’s Pro half-dart blaster line didn’t get off to the best of starts. Despite that, I’m a big fan of the Torrent; with a couple of internal modifications, it becomes a very decent, compact, 150fps, pump-action springer!
If, like me, you are a fan of this blaster - then consider building this pump kit to take the blaster to the next, next level and truly make it your own! Designed to fit any printer with a build volume of 180x180x180mm or larger.
My personal objectives for this project were to create a slightly smaller priming slide, along with giving people the option to attach their foregrip of choice. In doing so, I also made complementing front muzzle pieces to complete the profile of the blaster. The muzzles work with both stock and aftermarket barrels. A final goal was to take a first crack at combining both 3D printing and some simple hardware like hex and grub screws.
The kit features a smaller priming slide piece, AFG, and three different muzzle flavors.
DISCLAIMERS:
Be responsible; modify dart blasters at your own risk. This has been tested in PLA and holds up well with the stock torrent spring load. All files come in their recommended print orientations. Recommended to use a brim for all tall pieces.
Three walls (1.2mm on 0.4 nozzle) and 15-20% infill for all parts.
Minimum of 4 walls and 20% infill for “Torrent-Pump-Body” as this part is under load. Feel free to add more perimeters if you'd like.
This is my first major project in the space, and I’m very excited! Download the required Build Guide and start printing; I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did!
