Compliant mechanism for precise manual bed leveling.
This is my Print in place mechanism - no supports, no assembly, simple brim removal.
Print Requirements
- 0.1 mm layer height or finer (First layer up to 0.2 mm)
- 0.4 mm Nozzle or finer
- Do not scale
- Use outer brim
- Cut brim separation arcs
How to Use
- Home 3d printer
- Manually level bed at first (any) point by paper or eye (Use point in screw positions)
- Lift head and keep motors on
- Mount the Tool on the printhead
- Slowly lower head until balance on the Tool Dial
- Remember or write down current Z position
- Lift head and move to another point
- Slowly lower head to remembered or written position at step 6
- Adjust screw until balance on the Tool Dial
- Repeat steps 7-9 for other points
