I modelled this Powerpole terminal blade receptacle to replace the one that comes with the original Eclipse Tools Powerpole crimping die set (the black plastic part) mainly because I was not satisfied with it. I wanted a part that can hold the terminal flat and at the right depth while it's being crimped. The original does not do that: the terminals can turn freely and can be pushed too deep into the receptacle, both of which increase the chances of a bad crimp.
This part has a built-in support for the recessed nut & washer hole. It can be removed with a medium size flat screwdriver: just insert the blade into the slot at the bottom of the part and rock it back and forth until it gives.
Recommended print settings for this part
- Nozzle diameter: 0.4mm
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Infill: 75%
Update:
- Added a cross-bridging, no support version. You must use a 0.2mm layer height for the part to print properly.
