My standing desk was still quite wobbly when in the standing position. So I remedied this with a block of cardboard that I squeezed between my desk and the wall. This did not work nicely as this had to be removed when lowering the desk.
This design pushes the desk from the wall at all heights. It's not a damper, more like a ‘spring loaded’ piston. Although again technically not a ‘spring’, but you get the idea.
It kinda works for me, although it's not as good as the good ol' cardboard I used to use.
To make this thing work, you need to get a standard 608 bearing, and a thick rubber band.
This thing will clamp on a 1 inch thick tabletop without the need for adhesive.
Update: Added v1.1 with some modifications to ease printing.
