Description
This 3D model demonstrates the tetragonal crystal system, where two axes (a and b) are of equal length, while the third axis (c) differs in length, with all axes intersecting at 90° angles. It highlights the distinct geometric structure of the tetragonal system, commonly found in certain minerals. Labels on the base clearly indicate the unequal axis lengths and the angular relationships, reinforcing key concepts. This tool serves as an effective educational aid for students learning crystallography. This crystal can open with by simply sliding a lever.
There are two texts, one in English and one in Czech.
How to assemble
- Take a 2 mm drill and drill the gears
- Drill into the C axis 6 mm hole from the bottom
- Glue the shorter axis to the C axis with the Alignment tool
- Glue the C axis to the Stand
- Push the Gear axis through the Stand
- Close the Stand
- Take a pieces of filament and assemble with it the gears
- Glue the Text on the Stand
- And I recommend lubricating everything
