This handle uses a neck clamp that can be installed without removing the valve and should be sturdy enough for any size of tank - if you print it strong enough.
The recommended material would be PETG, but ABS and any other similar materials should work fine. Please don't use PLA. Or HIPS.
If your printer can handle overhangs good enough, there should be no need for any supports.
Required Hardware:
- 4x M5x25 socket head bolts (or any M5 bolt up to M5x30, at least for the 37mm version)
- 4x M5 hex nuts (~4mm thick)
There are two different handle sizes:
- Large, for either very large hands or when using thick gloves
- Medium, for … normal hands and/or when using thin gloves
- Small, for either Trump'ish hands or when not using gloves
Versions for other neck diameters can be easily created, just leave a comment with the diameter you need.
ProTip: Add one or more layers of electrical tape to the neck, to not only protect your tank's paint job, but also improve the grip of the clamp and prevent it from rotating.
