I know this is nothing new in general but i decided to make a set of 3d printed straws that are easy and efficient to clean.
Printed models used in contact with food and beverages must be cleaned well. This can sometimes be a problem because prints have lots of little grooves.
That's why these straws have a pentagonal profile printed horizontally, where all the grooves are in the direction of the straw. And if you set the top layer fill pattern to concentric, then also the lower inside surface will have the grooves along the straw. This will improve the quality of cleaning and you can use straw cleaner brush for that.
The pentagon profile also offers well-printable overhangs and is quite aesthetic.
There are 5 shapes in the files which I believe you will be able to choose from. All are about 20cm in length.
Printing:
I printed these with PLA, 0.2mm layer, 2 perimeters, Top fill pattern - concentric.
