Filament Runout Sensor designed for Klipper.

New model based on the original.  My design was developed to accept a standard end stop from an Ender 3.  The bearing being used is a 4mm bearing from a 608 bearing assembly. The filament feeds are designed for a 5mm bowden tube connector (no threads, just self-tap).

You will need to wire the switch according to the pinout on your board and configure your printer.cfg to include a script to control what happens when the filament runs out (bearing loses connection with the switch body).

Mine currently looks like this - very basic.

[filament_switch_sensor filasense] #filasense can be changed to any name of your liking
pause_on_runout: True
#runout_gcode:
#insert_gcode:
event_delay: 1.0
pause_delay: 0.5
switch_pin: !PC6 #sensor switch had to be reversed with the ! to allow for the pause when the switch is disengaged

The above was adapted directly from the Klipper Config Reference
