This is a 180 degree latching hinge for half inch pvc pipe. This allows you to connect two pvc pipes end over end and have them split apart.
The latch firmly locks the pipes when closed. It works by locking a beam in with a spring and screw so that the upper hinge can push it closed and lock into place.
To assemble you will need:
- Four #6x1-¼ Machine Screws
- One in the hinge, one in the latch, and two to bold to the pvc pipe
- One #6x½ Machine Screw
- To hold in the latch
- One small spring
- This can be a pen spring to keep the latch pushed outward
- Drill
- To drill holes in PVC and potentially latch
