Inspired by trays that pharmacy workers use to quickly count and package pills, this design improves upon the concept by adding storage compartments and a lid to fill unused space and allow the tray to be stacked and stored easily.
PERFECT FOR:
- Sorting beads, sequins, other small art and craft supplies
- Sorting small hardware like nuts, bolts, LEDs, or resistors
- Packaging small items into bags or bottles
- Counting out specific items to fill orders or prepare grab bags
- Storing tiny supplies like rhinestones between crafting sessions
Makes a great gift for almost any crafter!
The design is straightforward to print, with the base taking by far the longest at just over 2 hours on my Neptune 4 (around 6 hours total). Uses a simple filament hinge. Depending on your printer you might want to use supports for the funnel and hinges. The tray in the photos was printed in PLA+ and clear PETG, but whatever you and your printer are comfortable with should work. Except maybe TPU, that’d be kinda silly.
