First: This is not my work, this is the work of the amazing Mangomoose, the the guy who made Big Mac (if you've been to Open Sauce 2024 or VCF West 2024, you know what I'm talking about. It's a really, really big Mac Plus made out of 3D printed parts.
The premise was simple: The Cube runs hot, because it doesn't have active cooling. This can be partially mitigated because the Cube was designed with a fan in mind…for the CPU heatsink (this is commonly known as the “base fan” upgrade). This was infamously removed last minute, but the bracket was left behind.
This, however, doesn't do much for the GPU compartment of the Cube, which cannot be outfitted with a fan, and is left to essentially bake because the miracle of convection cooling is not enough, especially when running an upgraded GPU like the GeForce 3. And even with a fan on the GPU itself, it can't force enough air by itself; the space is too tight.
Enter the Cube Cooler: An ugly-but-functional apparatus that serves to keep the GPU side of the Cube cool by forcing air through it from the outside. A fan with good static pressure is recommended.
For best results, the fan should intake air from the outside, pushing it through the cooler into the Cube. You'd think this would be counterproductive, but measuring with a temperature probe, this dropped temperature far more than having the fan in a pull configuration.
Battle tested, too. This Cube with the cooler was one of the centerpieces of my VCF West 2024 exhibit, and unfortunately during the event (on a hot August weekend!) the HVAC system failed. We were all miserable, but the Cube never skipped a beat and stayed nice and cool, even when running some rounds of Quake 3.
Print settings: Printed on an MK3S with grey Anycubic PLA. The top (the part with the text “This G4 Cube is so hot…” facing the build plate, as pictured in the screenshot. The edge of the circular fan cutout might print a bit weird without supports (it did for me) but that blemish will be effectively hidden when the fan is installed.
NOTE: For those put off by the text, I am working with the creator to get a version without the text. This WAS intended as a one-off which is why the fun text is there, but hey. Maybe you'd like it too.

EDIT 2/22/26: Added proper credit as situations have changed and I am now able to actually, properly credit the legend who made this possible.
