Arca Swiss clamps are quite big and, in my opinion, expensive. Sometimes, the applications don't warrant that at all - e.g. a small light/ phone mount/ mic.
That's why I designed my own clamp. Feature:
- Small and quick to print (under 30 min)
- Only requires 1x M4x30 screw and nut - super common
- Already modelled tripod screw - no need to bring your own
- Surprisingly sturdy, but your milage might vary
Notes:
- No guarantees for how much this will take in terms of abuse/ wight - do your own tests (in the video bellow I do test mine out - yours will depend on wear, filament, orientation, etc.)
- Best results: orient clamp pieces on their side, enable manual supports (to avoid the tripod head), print with many perimeters (up to filling the whole thing in them)
- PLA seemed to work for my application but there may be better materials out there
Hope you find this useful!!
