There is two version:
- The normal one to glue directly to the back of the phone with glue
- The multipart one, where there is a 0.2mm “channel” to place double sided tape
Printing:
I recommend printing in PETG if you want a polished result because it’s way easier to sand
For the multipart variant use 2 incompatible materials like PLA and PETG so they can be separated after print
Process of the final version in photo:
I used the multipart version with the channel in PLA and main body in PETG
Used a Prusa Mini at at 0.1mm layer height, in order to improve finish, I pushed the flow ratio to 108% in order to reduce visible void after sanding.
For sanding, used 180 grit down to 1000 grit wet sanding, then finished with a varnish “buffed” with a tissue to leave only a very thin layer.
For fixing I used 2mm wide 3M tape in order to be able to remove it if needed
