This tool allows you to keep the fridge doors open when powered down for a longer period. Should work with most brands.

My use case for this device is the basement fridge we only use for parties or when friends are staying over. The rest of the time this fridge is powered down.

With this tool the fridge doors will stay open and you won't close them by accident.

And you won't need to spend an hour or two cleaning the mold that will inevitably start showing if the doors are closed.

Simply put the rod between the 2 doors (refrigerated part and freezer part) then screw on the “vice” parts on each side; on the exterior simply enough so it does not fall off; then tighten the other side so that the doors are blocked together.  Depending on the thickness of your doors the rod will bump 7 to 8 cm (minimum opening) If you want more opening simply slide the tool towards the hinge of the door. I my case as you can see on the pictures the freezer door has a thicker part so I would need to tilt the inner “vice” part at an angle to be able to get more opening.

Now if you only have one door (cooler only) you can use the “1 door” part to put at the end of the rod. The tool would sit on the top of the door.
