For some unknown reason, developer decided to place the thermostat on the wall in master bedroom. It wasn't a problem until I replaced an original “dumb” thermostat with ecobee 3 Lite.
ecobee 3 Lite has a bad habit of flashing the screen throughout the night, drastically affecting quality of my sleep. I don't use the thermostat directly, but rather through Home Assistant most of the time, so I decided to trade display accessibility for a better sleep quality.
This cover is intended to block all light coming off display and it works great. The cover just slides from the top and doesn't block the notches on the top and bottom.
