I didn't really need it but figured it would be fun so I designed a drop release for the T2. The proof of concept with bent wire and 9g servo successfully released 3kg weight without much problem which equals a weight of 6kg which is more than I think anyone will need to lift. :)
The design uses a 9g servo and a cut 35mm key chain ring. The servo is mounted on the bottom of the fuselage behind the battery and moves the ring through the fuse into a custom accessory mount. The one I use is for landing gear but can of course be used without that interface.
If you don't have a 35mm key chain ring to cut you can use the wire shaper STL and bend your own, however I recommend using a key chain ring.

If you like my designs please consider donating a coffee or any amount really, I appreciate the gesture.
