This container was designed for safe sharps disposal like medical needles and cannulas. It is based on the Australian Standards for Sharps Injury Protection (AS 23907:2023)
The key requirements, from the standard, that were incorporated into this design are:
- Colour - Yellow for Bio-hazardous Sharps (requires yellow filament)
- Closure - Container has both Permanent and Temporary closures
- Temporary Lid allows for the one-handed use
- Thick container wall to prevent injury from sharps
- Colour visible from 3 metres (All Sizes)
