A little bigger than the original to accommodate a (1.1Kg) 22cm roll and Threaded Inserts.

I made the design from scratch. I also changed the inserts from hexagonal to cylindrical with threads. This way rolling the paper should be smoother and more secure.

In my design the “Left” part has anticlockwise threads and the “Right” part has clockwise threads. This was done so the rotation of the paper roll will match the direction of the inserts when fastened to avoid any possibility of inserts unfasten. (assumed you have the hanging paper against the wall). Actually, the inserts fasten very secure and the above behavior is not expected but i designed it like this as a failproof.

Print instructions

I printed mine with PLA

Method 1

The GCode file is the one i used on a Prusa i3 MK3

Method 2

Use the 3mf file to check and even change some of the settings and/or Material (e.g. PETG) i made before you slice it again.

Method 3

If you use the STL provided i recommend the following:

  • No supports needed
  • I recommend 0.2 layer height and 2 perimeters
  • Infill 20% Gyroid pattern
