A collet of sorts to keep stock stable while it sticks out the back of your spindle. This is for my PM1130

The spindle bore on my PM1130 is 1.52in (38.6mm).  I made this basic collet thing to cram in the backside of the head stock and support long stock.  I didn't have room to clamp anything on the outside of the spindle, so any support has to go inside.

Chances are low that this will work exactly for your lathe, but the idea is pretty simple and it works great.  The OD is tapered <1 degree on the outside so it slowly clamps as you press it in. The only trick is that it isn't adjustable, you have to make one for each stock diameter.  Make a series of cuts so it will flex inward and hold the stock.
