I made this script to generate a bridge for a 3d printable Banjolin that I am designing. The script can be used to make any floating style bridge with3 legs and up to 12 strings.
You find this type of bridge on Mandolin and Banjo as well as on some Guitars and Ukeleles
Print the bridge laying on one side with a small layer height and a the smallest nozzle you have. A small nozzle helps add definition to the corners of the string notches preventing slipping.
The best implementation is to print the bridge about 1mm higher than you need and then carefully deepen the notches with a file until the string is at just the right height at full tension to play well. Remember that as you tune the strings up to tension they push on the drum head which lowers them so you will likely need to print the bridge in a few different heights before finding the perfect size. If you haven't done this type of instrument repair before, look up guides for “Banjo action setup”
If you haven't used OpenSCAD before, don't worry you don't need to know how the code works, just fill in the values you want on the right side (all in mm) and then render and export the STL.
