What?: A simple protractor, made a lot sturdier by splitting it into two halves.
Features:

  • Numbers for your angle every 15 degrees
  • Ruler that goes up to 14 cm
  • The bottom has an indentation to help find the center of the angle you're measuring
  • Several quarter-circles with various radiuses to quickly draw quarter circles of common radiuses.
  • Holes for 5x5x3 cylinder magnets to automatically attach and align the two halves

Why?: I like to keep a lot of things in my schoolbag and found myself having to use broken bits of protractor on several occasions. The standard solution to this is to get a flexible protractor. However, those start to deform when bent for an extended period of time (like they would in a bag). So, the solution came natural to me; Decrease stress on the protractor by splitting it in half.

How?: For printing I recommend to use Brim to maintain dimensional accuracy, however the bottom surface area should be large enough to print without (saves having to scrape it with a knife).
Also use a differently coloured material for the text on top for increased legibility (If you have single nozzle, remember to clean off the purged material! otherwise you get what I had with the stripes around 120*!)
Glue in the magnets, most glues will work. The hole diameter can hold the magnets, but more powerful magnets might pull themselves out.

This goes without saying but:
Make sure your printer is dimensionally accurate before attempting this print!

Hardware required: 4x (or 2x) cylinder shaped magnets (5mm radius, 3mm tall).
