Azul (Pretty Minimalist)

This is a “pretty minimalist” version of the widely popular Azul board game:

• “Minimalist” because it's travel-sized and you only need a few colours.
• “Pretty” because the tiles aren't just plain cubes but are multi-coloured with symbols.

If, like me, you want to start with a version for 2 players, print as follows. 👇 To make the print a bit more fun, it also has some additional twists!

• 2 x (board + backboard)
  • printed separately but assembled afterwards
• 2 x mosaic sheet
  • to be drawn or 2D-printed, and even expandable
• 2 x 2 scoring markers
  • single-coloured, nothing special
• 1 x “one” tile
  • single- (see above) or multi-coloured (see below)
• 5 x factory displays
  • two-colour with same-layer printing, e.g. like this
• 20 tiles x 5 symbols (bolt, flower, moon, snowflake, star)
  • multi-coloured, e.g. like this, one change at 5mm
• 10 joker tiles (if you wish to play this expansion)
  • same as standard tiles

For 3–4 players, adjust the quantity according to the rules (and common sense).

I personally:

• Printed all the tiles and displays at 0.2mm
• Reduced print quality for everything else to 0.32mm
• Added an extra tile for each symbol print to have a backup

You can imagine it takes a while to put it all together, definitely worth it though. Happy printing and playing! 🎲
