This is my attempt at a Linear actuator that looks decent and performs god.

All though it certainly is sturdy and for the most part looks like a proper Heavy machinery part. It consumes a lot of filament and assembly requires a couple custom metal parts. Which of course requires at least some hand tools. Make sure you have access to files a metal saw and a battery drill or drill press. BOM and assembly guide are provided with files.

With the 30:1 motor option it creates a pressure of ~ 500N. Which is rather disappointing. That being said the issue here wasnt the printed parts but rather the motor stalling out. While the mechanism is very free turning considering the use of a regular metric screw thread for the lead screw.

Voltage100:130:1
9V0.87mm/s3.1 mm/s
12V (Nominal)1.2mm/s4.1 mm/s
15V1.5mm/s5.2 mm/s

In a static load test i repeatedly applied a force of 4kN for a total of 15 times. During this the actuator was about half way extended. This did not seem to inflict any damage.

Long term testing in progress, should any design flaw cause the mechanism to break down i will immediately report the relevant data here. long term test is conducted on the same actuator that underwent the static load test.
