I needed a new drain plug for my ice chest and did not come across one. I tried my hand at designing one and thought I would share in case someone needed one. I have 3 models. One is a solid model that has to be completely unscrewed for it to drain. This is a design of another popular cooler but I didn't care for it for this one. The 2nd model has a single drain hole that works but takes a little longer. The 3rd has 2 holes but is messy to use. Water will come out in opposite directions but it drains quick.
The gasket measurements are 38mm OD X 23mm ID X 4mm thick. I haven't had much luck finding just the gasket for it but I did find a 4mm thick silicone sheet that could be used to make one.
I filled the cooler and gave it a few hours with no leaks as I wasn't real sure how water proof a 3d printed plug would be. I used PetG but I'm sure ABS would do a better job over the long term.
