*April 23, 2025 update:
- added ‘case-front-cutout-thin.3mf’. It's the same as 'case-front-cutout' but has a thinner face, so the numbers can be easily seen from a steeper angle.
I wanted a counter that went higher than 9, so I made this two-wheeled version that will go to 99.
Another improvement I made was to the wheel/dial: in the original model it would click/snap into place at every number, but also halfway in between every number. I didn't love it stopping between numbers, so I modified the detents around the outside to only snap into place on the actual digits.
Multi-purpose:
Just a couple examples:
Since there are two dials, a single counter can be use to keep track of +1/+0, or other non-symmetric counters/buffs, because one dial can represent Power and the other Toughness.
A single counter can also keep track of up to 9 tapped/untapped tokens; using the left dial for total tokens and the right dial for how many are tapped.
Printing the left/right dials in different colors can help if using the counters in either of these ways.
There are 2 versions of the case:
1 - Solid - I left the face of the counter blank so that anybody could add whatever symbol/image they want in their slicer.
2 - Cutout - Just has a hole through the center of each wheel. I prefer this version.
Instructions:
Print:
2x wheel/dial
1x spring
1x case front
1x case back
Assemble:
No glue or hardware necessary. Place the spring in the middle of the case-front, along with the 2 dials. Then snap the case-back into place.
For the numbers on the dials: I don't have a multicolor printer, so I just add a “color change” at the 3rd layer and swap the color.
