Remix of the back mount for dragon burner to include a tail probe mount for cartographer. Since the form factors for beacon is similar it should work too (but I use CANBus). This was all setup to use the cartographer probe on T0 in tap changer.

Printing:

  • ASA or something thermostable to reduce warping with time
  • Used Voron PIF settings

BOM:

  • Probe
  • 2x M3 4mm Flat head screws (the ones that come with the probe are fine)
  • 2x 2mm hex nuts
  • Cable - you'll need to re-make the cable as the thickness on the provided probe is too large.

Issues:

I have not been successful in using touch in this orientation - but bed scanning works well.

I've not used it long, so we'll see how it holds up over time!

Please be VERY careful with the mount path to not damage the probe. As an example I use the following paths:

params_dropoff_path: [{'z':0, 'y':4}, {'z':0, 'y':0}, {'z':-12.0, 'y':0}, {'z':-14.50, 'y':10}]
params_pickup_path: [{'z':-14.50, 'y':10}, {'z':-12.0, 'y':0}, {'z':-6.5, 'y':0}, {'z':-6.5, 'y':0}, {'z':0, 'y':0, 'f':0.5, 'verify':1}, {'z':0, 'y':0}, {'z':0, 'y':4}]
