The oil filter on the 07 avalanche is a pain to get to with a traditional oil filter wrench, so I decided to model a socket style wrench to remove the filter.
The wrench was tested on the Microgard and Wix 57060 filters.
It should fit any 14 sided oil filter with an edge to edge measurement of 2.9inches, approximately 73.5mm.
After designing and using the first wrench/socket I modeled up a second one for a 63.75mm filter. These filters are found on a lot of Toyota 2021 or newer 4 cylinder engines, Polaris side by sides, and the Yamaha R6 motorcycle.
I printed this in PLA+ with .4mm nozzle.
5 top/bottom layers.
5 outter walls
25% cubic infill
The wrench was printed as shown in the first photo (open end face down) with bed supports only.
It should work with any 3/8in drive ratchet.
Filernames indicate the size of the wrench.
