Fully 3D printed desiccant cartridges for microwave generation - must be 3D printed from polyamide or any other material with temperature resistance above 125°C. Do not print from carbon fiber reinforced material - may cause them to melt during regeneration.

Caution:

  • Only unfilled or glass fiber reinforced polyamide can be used
  • Do not microwave them for more than 2 min at a time, do not microwave them without desiccant filling - they will melt

Available in:

  • Clipped together: For glass fiber reinforces PA:
    • Print, fill with desiccant - done
    • BOM: 1 Desiccant cartridge + 1 Desiccant cover + Desiccant
  • Folding design: For unreinforced PA (Due to poor printing properties
    • Print, submerge in warm Water for 4h, dry with a towel, fold into shape, wrap sides with tape, open cover, fill with desiccant. If tolerances lead to nobs not locking due to friction you can use a soldering Iron to weld them flat - should not be necessary. Then wait for ca. 1h and proceed to regenerate the cartridge.
    • BOM: 1 Desiccant cartridge fold + a bit of tape + Desiccant

Regeneration:

  • 1-2 min in Microwave, then shake the cartridge, turn it around and microwave again - continue until cold glassware is not fogged by water vapour from cartridge. Do not microwave for longer - even Polyamide has limits to its temperature resistance.

==> Should be good to Keep humidity below 3% if regenerated correctly.
