- Bear models, in order of smooth → less smooth: lap5 > lap2 > nosmooth
- Pictured: lap5 (gold), nosmooth (blue)
- Base models: Some models (X_with_holes) include small guide holes to indicate feet placement.

How I Designed This
The original point cloud was created by combining LiDAR scans from multiple ground-level viewpoints (captured by a mobile robot). CloudCompare and Python were used for preprocessing and interpolation, respectively. Finally, a sequence of MeshLab utilities (Point Cloud Simplification → Compute normals from point sets → Surface Reconstruction: Screened Poisson → [HC] Laplacian Smooth) was used to generate the final mesh.
(Note: Since the scans did not fully capture the top/bottom of the bear, those areas had to be interpolated.)
