Description:
Just an experimental bellow for sideways printing avoiding overhangs
Status: not yet testprinted

Printing: use plenty of brim
print it on dhe edge as in the stl files orientation
Material: use some a bit harder rubber to
allow for easier & faster printing (or even nylon?)
the geometry makes up for less base flex of the material;
avoid really stiff stuff that dislikes even sight
repetitive bending => no PLA

Possible improvements with some efforts:
– make the top a sharp spike to avert all internal bridging even short range
– make the bellow doubel droplet shaped (standing eye shape)
– oprimize for some application case (spring / air-pumping / … )

The angularity, the few simple directions, and the lack of overhangs may make this design possibly also into a good design for a future nanoscale nanomechanical machine elements made from a superelastic flawless single crystals.
