This is my original model, inspired the Materious Cubby from 2006 (now discontinued). As they describe it, and was also my brief in designing this take:
The cubby coat hook challenges traditional form--rather than a coat hook being a fairly linear element (like a nail), cubby is a volume. The center space offers storage for keys, wallets, gloves, sunglasses, or other small items. The outer surface allows purses and scarves to be hung and offers a wider, more collar-friendly support for coats. Many "cubbys" can be attached to the wall linearlly or randomly, in different colors, and each family member can have their own coat "space."
Since I have a lot of hex shapes in my closet area, I decided to put them on a hexagonal base. The cubby body is at a 10º upward tilt, and flows smoothly into the base. Two screw holes, at slightly different angles, provide a secure mount to the wall.
I experimented with adding a fuzzy surface (example grey one in photo) to the outside with PrusaSlicer, because I thought the texture would make items less likely to slip off. However, with the angle and the size of the cubby, this seem unnecessary unless you are using a very slick silk filament.
STEP file attached, and here is a link to my original OnShape document, if you want to modify it there.
