Wanted a second relay to use with an AC heated bed conversion I was doing to the Qidi Plus4
Consult an electrician for wiring if you're not sure how to do it.
Stock chamber heater to relay conversion:
- Red wires on the stock relay are Live so you attach those to the AC outputs of the SSR
- Blue heater wire goes to the black wire. WAGO's are great options. Both are neutral (heater is non polar, just how qidi had it)
- yellow is ground to earth, attach to the metal heatsink screws.
- cut the white wire (I believe) with a JST on each end and terminate with ring or spade terminals to the + and - side of the relay
- POLARITY IS IMPORTANT HERE.
BOM:
- Used These Heatsinks
- make sure to use the thermal paste and apply it on the metal bottom part of the relay
- m4 hardware to mount relay to heatsink
- Used fan mount from original post, but re-uploaded it here
- LDO 3X2 Splicer Board
- 12X (Voron spec brass M3 heatset inserts M3X5X4)
- 4X Mandatory, M4X8 can cut threads in the plastic
- 8X M3X8 Screws for heatsink, PCB, and fan mount mounting
- 4X M3X14 Screws for fan to fan mount
- 24V 4010 Axial Fan (if you did the 80mm mainboard fan upgrade, you can reuse the original fan here)
- 2 M3 Screws reused from the stock plus4 relay housing to mount it to the plastic panel
