A remake of one of my previous models, now added an attachment cap for PET-bottles. Fits for most soda bottles. You can either screw it on a full bottlle and stick in in to the grount for a very slow and long watering process (perhaps when you can't take care of your plants for some time) or you simply cut a bootle in half and you have a bigger water reservoir for bigger plants with big root systems.
The “RootCanal” guides the water, you give your plants, directly to the roots of the plant. This allows you to keep your top soil or mulch layer dry, thus lowering the chances of pests like fungus gnats and diverse fungi. The many holes in the shaft make for an equal division of water to the soil, This way it reduces the risk of water flowing to one spot and standing still (=> rootrot!) to cause hidden reservoir underneath the soil.
For waterproofing the attachment with a bottle, check out kofi's squared o-rings, to be printed in TPU: https://www.printables.com/model/1333401-parametric-squared-o-ring
Make sure to water your plants according to their needs, even with the rootcanal, too much or too little water will slow down the growth of your plant.
