I created this case because I wanted a better looking way to store more trimmer and its accessories. The case has recesses for each accessory and the trimmer as well as a standing feature on the top to hold things in place if the case is turned upside down or shaken.

There is a rubber latch that was designed to be printed in TPU. The TPU latch scale or adding a thick brim may have to be adjusted in your slicer to get your desired level of interference for the closure. The Latch should slide into the groove on the Top with enough resistance not to move around when opening and closing the Top. The latch is not needed if you want to just let gravity do the work.

For the hinges I used a single threaded rod 150mm long, 3mm in diameter and four nuts and two washers. Place the Top on the bottom and slide the rod through on hinge and thread the washers and nuts on as seen in the picture. Jam the nuts against each other leaving space between the washers and the plastic hinges. Tightening against the hinges can damage the hinges The rod should “float” a little in the middle.

1/8 inch pins, 3mm pins or two separate 3mm screws would also work for the hinges.

The prints do not need supports.
