I've previously created a custom set of Tak stones, and I realized that it may be useful to create models that allow someone to print the entire game - board, and two basic sets of tiles - and so here it is!
I love Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicle series of novels, and in them he introduces a game called Tak - an abstract strategy game in the vein of Chess, or Go. This game was later created by James Ernst and Patrick Rothfuss, published by Cheapass Games, and has developed a pretty good following. Check out the reddit community on r/Tak if you're interested!
I've designed the board to support up to a 5x5 grid, and to fit the printbed of a Prusa Mini, to maximize the number of people who can print it. The two sets are based on the design of the core pieces that come with the game, and I recommend printing them in different colors.
In Tak, a full set for a single player can be up to 52 pieces in total - but the maximum number per player for a 5x5 grid is 21 + capstones, so that's what I've set up in the print files. If you would like to print more, you can simply set up your own print files based on the provided STLs.
As always, C&C is welcome - and I'd love to see your prints!
